Senior Structural Technician

Description:

Buro Happold is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join their multi-disciplinary practice in Bath. The role involves creating Revit models from engineers’ sketches, managing data through to drawing and detail production, and ensuring project deliverables meet agreed programmes and company standards. The position encourages professional growth and continuous learning in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage Revit models for design projects.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawing and model deliverables.

• Develop concept ideas into buildable drawing details.

• Maintain company standards for model and drawing production.

• Take responsibility for daily housekeeping and issue resolution in project deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Willingness to learn new skills and software.

• Relevant work experience in structural engineering or related sectors.

• Keen interest in building design, architecture, and structural engineering.

• GCSEs and A-Levels in Maths and Science (or equivalent).

• Technical drawing skills and computational skills in Grasshopper or Dynamo are advantageous.
