Shift Operator

Description:

We are looking to recruit a Shift Operator/Dispatcher based at our Theale Oil Terminal (near

Reading). Experience of Oil and Gas Terminal Operations would be desirable, but training will be provided. Candidates should also have a good level of physical fitness, enabling them to work in an external environment and on occasions at heights and in confined spaces. Successful applicants will be required to work a 24/7 shift rotation which includes some lone working. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a full driving license.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Day-to-day safe operation of a petroleum fuel storage and distribution terminal
• Coordination of the traffic desk which includes managing vehicle loading and
• offloading of products and related documentation
• Operating Automated systems and within a Control Room
• Routine monitoring, testing and checking terminal equipment and preparing for
• routine maintenance including shutting down and starting up.
• Operating gauging storage tanks, pumps, valves and pipelines and testing, inspecting and sampling products.
• Knowledge of risk assessments permits to work & issuing, and site safety procedures.
