Role Overview:

The Site Manager will report directly to the Contracts Manager and will be responsible for the successful delivery of renewable energy construction projects from inception through to commissioning. You will focus heavily on maintaining quality assurance and health & safety compliance throughout all stages of the construction process.

This role demands a self-motivated, proactive, and conscientious individual who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Flexibility is essential due to regular travel to various UK sites and extended periods away from home while projects are underway.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.

• Monitor construction quality, perform site inspections, and take corrective actions to ensure projects meet planned specifications and standards.

• Manage all aspects of renewable energy project construction, including procurement, logistics, subcontractor coordination, and project reporting.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

• Efficiently allocate and manage resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and minimize delays.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, local authorities, and communities to ensure smooth project execution and regulatory compliance.

• Track project progress, milestones, and deliver timely updates to senior management and clients.

• Prepare detailed project documentation including progress reports, financial summaries, and project close-out reports.

• Attend site meetings and manage contractual variations in coordination with the Contracts Manager and Cost Management team.

• Ensure that all quality and safety standards are maintained through to project completion.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar Site Manager or construction management role is essential.

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction sector.

• In-depth knowledge of renewable energy construction, including solar and wind project methodologies and industry standards.

• Proficiency with project management software and digital tools.

• Exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to motivate diverse teams.

• Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement at all levels.

• Experience in electrical projects is advantageous but not mandatory.

• A valid British driving licence is required due to the travel demands of the role.
