Test Engineer

IC Resources is hiring a DFT Engineer (Design for Test) to join a prominent UK-headquartered fabless semiconductor company specializing in custom ASIC design and IP licensing. This organization operates across diverse sectors including automotive, industrial, healthcare, communications, and consumer electronics. Known for delivering both turnkey ASIC development and processor/signal processing IP, the company provides end-to-end solutions for digital and mixed-signal applications.

This position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of DFT flows and collaborate across front-end and back-end design teams to ensure high-quality silicon delivery. The role suits an experienced engineer looking to contribute significantly in a technically sophisticated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and execute full DFT flow including BIST (Built-in Self-Test) and test-pattern generation for complex ASIC designs

• Setup, maintain, and run EDA tool flows for DFT and BIST

• Collaborate closely with front-end and back-end engineering teams for DFT implementation and verification

• Meet and manage customer fault coverage expectations

• Generate comprehensive test specifications for sub-contractors and partners

• Drive design enhancements and improvements based on fault coverage analysis

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of professional experience in DFT across multiple ASIC projects

• Hands-on DFT implementation at architectural and design levels

• Proficiency in integrating IPs like CPUs, Analog Macros, IO PHYs

• Experience in ATPG, BIST, memory repair, and at-speed test techniques

• Deep familiarity with full EDA vendor DFT tool suites

• Strong understanding of SoC design flow, RTL/gate-level simulations, and debugging

• Coding proficiency in VHDL/Verilog

• Experience with DFT for power-managed designs

• Ability to generate STA constraints and manage design scenarios
