Test Technician

 

Description:

At TT Manchester, we’re looking for a hands-on Test Technician to join our Power Solutions division, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our products perform flawlessly. If you enjoy problem-solving, fault-finding down to component level, and working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams, this could be a great fit for you.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the testing process, from sub-assemblies to final assemblies, helping to diagnose issues, improve designs, and support the introduction of new products.

What You’ll Be Doing
 

  • Testing sub and top assemblies to support the manufacturing process
  • Diagnosing and analysing faults down to component level
  • Producing clear, accurate test reports and feeding results back into engineering
  • Supporting the Design and NPI teams by helping to develop test schedules for new products
  • Writing, reviewing, and improving test procedures
  • Designing and building bespoke test equipment
  • Assisting with Avionics Test and Environmental Test activities, when required

Core Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing power products, including both AC and DC systems, and a strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics to trace faults back to their root cause.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Manchester. You’ll be a proactive self-starter who’s comfortable working with minimal supervision and flexible to support the business byworking additional hours or shifts, when required.
