Lifestyle Solutions is seeking a Therapeutic Youth Worker to join their Out-of-Home Care Programme in Tamworth. The successful candidate will provide tailored therapeutic interventions to children and young people to support them in overcoming trauma and building resilience. This role involves providing care, nurturing, and ensuring safety while assisting the child or young person in meeting their personal and developmental milestones.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and support, including personal hygiene, health, medical, transportation, recreational, and educational needs
- Maintain a safe and clean environment personalized to the needs of each child or young person
- Accurately document events and developments in the care journey
- Ensure NDIS plans are accessible while in care
- Utilize trauma-informed practices and therapeutic interventions for children and young people experiencing crises
- Encourage social engagement, recreation, and community involvement
- Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with the care team
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and young people
- Support the development of essential life skills, including education, vocational training, and independent living skills
- Promote positive relationships and connections with family, culture, and community
- Help children and young people reach their developmental and life milestones

- Passion for helping children and young people heal and grow
- Experience in supporting individuals with disabilities and complex needs
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and stability in the lives of children
- Commitment to meticulous documentation and safeguarding vulnerable children
- Availability for a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and overnights
- Essential qualifications: paid working with children check, national police check, NDIS workers screening check, valid driver’s license, or relevant qualifications/experience
