Transactional Finance Manager

The Role

This Finance Manager position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of transactional finance operations and supporting financial control:

• Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash management, and credit card processes
• Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing aligned with financial controls
• Support month‑end close and reporting activities
• Work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team
• Lead and develop a small transactional finance team

Main Duties

You will be responsible for managing key finance processes and ensuring operational excellence:

• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable and receivable processes
• Oversee bank reconciliations, cash book postings, and payment runs
• Lead month‑end activities including reconciliations and ledger closures
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and audit requirements
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with internal teams and external partners

The Successful Candidate

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role with a non-profit organisation
• Strong knowledge of transactional finance, month‑end processes, and financial systems
• Experience managing or supervising a finance team
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• AAT qualified, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA), or qualified by experience
