CVS Group UK is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at 3 Mile Veterinary Centre, located in Glasgow’s vibrant South Side. About the Role:

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will become an integral part of our forward-thinking and supportive veterinary team. You will manage a variety of small animal cases and be responsible for providing high-quality medical and surgical care to our patients. The role is ideal for someone who is confident with all routine procedures and comfortable handling occasional sole-charge duties.

You will work alongside a skilled and collaborative team of 9 vets, 6 registered veterinary nurses (RVNs), 1 patient care assistant (PCA), and 3 receptionists in a friendly environment that values well-being and professional growth.

The practice recently relocated to a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility featuring 5 consultation rooms, 2 operating theatres, and a designated cat consultation room. The centre has also achieved the ISFM Silver Award for feline-friendly practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality veterinary medical and surgical care for small animals.

• Manage consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and follow-ups independently and collaboratively.

• Confidently handle routine and emergency cases, with occasional sole-charge responsibilities.

• Utilize the Vet Oracle support platform, which offers expert guidance across multiple disciplines including soft tissue, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and internal medicine.

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure excellent communication with clients and colleagues.

• Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) activities funded and encouraged by CVS.

Requirements:

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS or equivalent).

• Proven experience in small animal veterinary practice.

• Competence in all routine medical and surgical procedures.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to patient care.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience).
  (Equivalent to approximately £5,416 per month)

• Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week). Part-time options can be discussed.

• Relocation Package: Available for candidates moving to Glasgow.

• Location: South Side, Glasgow – easily accessible with excellent transport links to Edinburgh and Kilmarnock.
