Bodyshop Manager

Pybus Recruitment is hiring for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to oversee operations at a busy accident repair centre located in Rugby, England. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role ideal for a seasoned professional with strong leadership and operational management skills within the vehicle body repair sector.

As Bodyshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team including paint sprayers, panel beaters, MET technicians, estimators, and admin staff. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, meet performance targets, manage KPIs, and maintain compliance with health and safety standards. Your role will involve both operational and strategic responsibilities, from resolving customer concerns to recruiting and onboarding new team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the bodyshop and lead a team of technicians and support staff

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards

• Monitor and drive performance against KPIs and profitability targets

• Oversee planning and scheduling of repair work to ensure timely delivery

• Maintain high standards of quality and customer service

• Manage work provider and supplier relationships effectively

• Conduct interviews and recruit staff for open vacancies

• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bodyshop Site Manager or in a similar automotive management role

• Strong knowledge of accident repair operations and industry standards

• Familiarity with health and safety protocols in an automotive environment

• Excellent organisational and leadership skills

• Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and complex workloads

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and lead teams

• Comfortable interpreting reports, managing accounts, and driving site performance

Contract & Schedule:

• Type: Fixed-term – 6 months

• Work Days: Monday to Friday (No weekends)

• Hours: Full-time

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: £60,000 per year (Pro Rata)

• On-Target Earnings (OTE): Up to £80,000 per year (Pro Rata)

• Monthly Salary (Pro Rata): £5000 base, potential up to £6666 with bonuses
