Maintenance Assistant

Description:

The University of Warwick is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join its Estates team at the Innovation Campus in Stratford Upon Avon. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to engage across multiple trade specialisms and provide outstanding maintenance support across various campus buildings and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct reactive and planned maintenance support, including statutory testing and basic repairs to electrical, mechanical systems, and building fabric.
• Perform high-volume, repetitive, lower-skilled tasks essential for campus operations.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians and specialist trade teams with their work.
• Transport materials and equipment and coordinate with contractors.
• Contribute to maintaining an outstanding customer service experience for all campus users.

Required Skills:

• Practical experience in building maintenance across varied environments.
• City & Guilds NVQ Level II in a relevant subject.
• Ability to carry out repetitive, lower-skilled tasks efficiently.
