Description:

As Content Executive, you'll write and produce high-quality and engaging online content to help drive AXA Commercial Direct's organic search, outreach and marketing strategies. This will include help and advice-based blogs, articles, guides, whitepapers, video and podcast content which adds value to our audience of small business owners.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at our Glasgow office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

  • Write and produce high-quality and engaging online content to help drive organic search, outreach and marketing strategies.
  • Pitch content ideas that support AXA's marketing, SEO and PR goals and help drive these ideas through the production process to completion.
  • Lead on content marketing projects and partnerships alongside the Content & Creative Manager, ensuring our content reaches new audiences and contributes to brand awareness goals.
  • Support on the end-to-end delivery of the annual AXA Startup Angel programme, including planning, content writing, interviewing, and attending events.
  • Manage a paid content distribution strategy, creating and delivering ad assets and working with a media agency to drive high-quality traffic to our site.
  • Work with the Website Content Developer to build web pages and publish content using AXA's content management system.
  • Proof copy to ensure content is accurate, consistent and in line with brand guidelines and to improve quality and collaboration within the copywriting team.
  • Work in tandem with the Performance Analyst to interrogate the performance of content and ensure our goals are being met and exceeded.
  • Stay up to date with the changing needs of our small business, landlord and van driver customers to produce content that resonates with our target market. Comply with the rules, requirements and principles of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and any other legal/regulatory/risk management frameworks.

About you

What we’re looking for:

  • You’ll have proven experience in a similar content marketing or writing role. This could be as a freelancer.
  • Experience working in a commercially focused environment, with an understanding of how content and SEO work together to drive commercial success.
  • You’ll have strong attention to detail and a real passion for writing.
  • Highly organised and able to work independently to juggle multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
  • A good awareness and knowledge of digital marketing channels and ability to write copy for the end asset, including brand guidelines and word count.
  • Experience of working with content management systems, basic knowledge of HTML is advantageous.
  • Some project management experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to provide other copy support as required.
  • Understanding of the UK small business marketplace.
