Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking experienced and passionate Social Workers to join their innovative Children’s Social Care team, specifically within the Children With Disability Team. This team provides high-quality social work services to vulnerable children, young people, and their families, ensuring positive welfare outcomes and transformative life changes.
As an experienced social worker in this team, you will focus on delivering high-quality assessments and dynamic planning for children with disabilities and special needs. You will work collaboratively with families and partners to provide timely, intensive interventions to support children’s development and well-being. Each social worker is supported by experienced family support workers and benefits from a culture of shared learning and professional development.
The role involves managing complex cases, delivering practical interventions, and ensuring that children achieve their full potential. You will integrate into a social work pod under the guidance of a line manager and be part of a collaborative, experienced, and knowledgeable team.

Candidate Requirements:
Professional Social Worker qualification with current Social Work England registration
Significant post-qualifying experience in children’s social care
Solution-focused approach and sound knowledge of national and regional social work policies, practices, and childcare legislation
Driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk
