Finance Operations Executive

Simpson Judge is currently working with a Professional Services agency based in Central Manchester. Due to significant growth, they are now recruiting a Finance Operations Executive to improve budgets and forecast related schedules, optimise campaign margins as well as assist with month and year end accounting. This is a great opportunity for a recent Accountancy and Finance Graduate to join a sociable and lively company.

Roles/ Responsibilities

• Understand all operational and commercial elements of client work.
• Produce effective management information for the Board
• Monitor timings and movements of client campaign revenues
• Build and incrementally improving revenue and margin reporting
• Monitor and improving forecast time planning of client facing staff
• Hold periodic meetings to discuss and remedy operational and commercial issues
• Perform month end accounting duties covering revenue, costs of sale and related balance sheet considerations
• Building appropriate value add financial reporting
• Enhance processes and further improve robustness and effectiveness of Finance department

Skills/ Experience

• 2.1 or above Accounting and Finance degree would be an advantage but will consider other degrees for the right candidate
• Strong Excel- Vlookups and pivot tables is essential
• Intentions to study towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA
• Flourish in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Effective communicator with all colleagues including senior directors
• Strong presentation skills
• Experience of accounting and client management software packages
