Financial Controller

Description:

Talent Finance are working with a well-established and rapidly-growing lifestyle brand based on the South Coast, who are known for having a strong identity, loyal customer base, and continued momentum across multiple channels.

They’re now looking for a commercially minded finance professional to work closely with the Finance Director and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, from monthly reporting and statutory accounts to process improvements and wider business support.

This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step into their first Financial Controller role, or for an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant looking to broaden their remit in a business that values ownership, pace, and a hands-on approach.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering timely, accurate management accounts and insights
• Managing statutory accounts and Companies House filings
• Handling payroll, pensions, VAT returns, and HMRC compliance
• Leading balance sheet recs, month-end, and stock accounting (incl. imports/GIT)
• Overseeing credit control, cashflow, FX, and treasury
• Supporting system and process improvement projects
• Enhancing internal controls and financial operations

What we’re looking for:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
• Solid financial control and technical accounting background
• Hands-on, commercially aware, and detail-focused
• Strong ERP and Excel skills
• Confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally
