Financial Controller

The Role
Our client is a large multinational firm that provides a range of financial services, including advisory, investment, and asset management solutions. It serves a diverse set of clients worldwide, focusing on strategic planning, market operations, and long-term financial growth.
What you'll do
- Support end-to-end financial accounting and controllership activities for global compensation and deferred equity arrangements across multiple GAAPs and legal entities
- Prepare, book and reconcile compensation-related expenses, ensuring accuracy of general ledger balances and supporting reporting outputs
- Provide data, analysis and inputs for statutory, regulatory and management reporting, including compensation disclosures and forecasting for senior stakeholders
- Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and appropriate documentation standards
- Partner with key stakeholders across HR Executive Compensation, Payroll, Controllers, IT, Internal and External Audit, and third-party providers to support reporting and control processes
- Contribute to system enhancements, testing, process improvements and wider governance or committee representation activities
What you bring
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role as an accountant, financial controller or finance analyst
- Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA or CIMA) is essential
- Proven experience in reconciliations, financial reporting and financial statement preparation
- Working knowledge and experience with US GAAP reporting standards
- Experience with financial controls and governance frameworks; SOX exposure is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong Excel capability, with Alteryx and AI tool exposure considered a plus
