This is a unique opportunity for a talented commercial construction professional to take on a crucial leadership role within the company. As the Head of Pre-Construction, you will be responsible for leading the pre-construction process, including bid management, cost estimation, and design coordination. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure the delivery of successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the pre-construction process, managing bid submissions, project planning, cost estimation, and design coordination.
- Develop bespoke proposals in collaboration with clients and internal teams, ensuring that technical, financial, and operational requirements are met.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, preparing detailed cost estimates and construction schedules.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience in leading pre-construction functions with strong leadership and management skills.
- Likely to be a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager; a degree is preferable.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to verify supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and design specifications.
