Lead Business Analyst

Description:

The JM Longbridge Group is seeking a Lead Business Analyst with deep expertise in the London Insurance Market to join a high-impact transformation team. This permanent role is based in London with a hybrid working model and offers a competitive salary along with bonus and benefits.

This position is ideal for a seasoned Business Analyst or a London Market SME who is ready to lead initiatives across broking, underwriting, delegated authority, and placement operations. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s digital transformation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison between business and IT teams to clearly define and translate complex requirements

• Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts across multiple workstreams

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, run workshops, and perform deep-dive sessions with brokers, underwriters, and operations teams

• Document business needs via user stories, gap analyses, process maps, and requirement documentation

• Translate regulatory and operational requirements into deliverable work packages

• Support change management, training, and readiness activities across digital platforms

• Work closely with project managers and developers to align execution with strategic transformation goals

• Provide SME-level support to internal teams and service desk

Skills and Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of electronic placement platforms such as PPL, Whitespace, LIMOSS

• Familiarity with delegated authority workflows

• Strong proficiency in stakeholder management, process design, and business requirement documentation

• Capable of operating within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications & Tools:

• LM1 / LM2 (CII) certifications or global equivalents

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, or related business analysis tools

• Exposure to regulatory, digital, or data-focused transformation programs

• Background in project coordination or corporate training is advantageous
