Description:
PE Global is seeking a Material Planning Analyst to support a major client in the construction and mining equipment industry based in Peterlee. This 12-month contract role involves overseeing material delivery processes, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to support uninterrupted production operations. The role is integral in sustaining lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize MRP systems and supplier collaboration tools to plan and track material deliveries in line with production schedules.
Coordinate shipping and delivery schedules with suppliers to meet facility requirements.
Troubleshoot delivery issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve supply chain reliability.
Actively monitor supplier performance metrics and drive improvements in material availability at the point of use.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external partners to align material flow with demand.
Collaborate on Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
College or university degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
APICS certification or equivalent supply chain qualification preferred.
Proficiency in MRP systems, material scheduling, and expediting parts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma project methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
