Pharmacist Intern

Description:

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacist Intern will prepare, dispense, and distribute medications. The role includes providing clinical monitoring and drug information to ensure optimal patient care. The position requires adherence to high standards of safety and accuracy in medication handling and patient communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications under supervision

• Provide clinical monitoring of patients

• Offer drug information and support to healthcare teams

• Ensure safe and accurate medication management following regulatory standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrollment or recent graduation from an accredited pharmacy school

• Preferred experience in inpatient pharmacy settings

• Knowledge of unit dose systems, IV admixture preparation, and therapeutics

• Must possess a valid California Pharmacy Intern license

• Must have current AHA BLS certification

Pay Range:

• $21.00 to $29.12 per hour

• Salary offers based on candidate’s relevant experience and skills

• Per diem positions have standardized rates based on market data
