Registered Veterinary Nurse

Description:

Linnaeus is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) for maternity cover at their Avonvale Cubbington practice. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work in a small, friendly, and routine practice environment where meaningful relationships with clients and pets are valued. The successful candidate will join a team proud of its clinical excellence and patient care, supported by the wider Avonvale group.

Typical duties include nursing consultations in the morning, preparing for pre-ops, assisting in consultations and surgical procedures including anesthesia monitoring, as well as general practice management tasks like diary schedules, stock control, and compliance with practice standards. The role demands providing excellent inpatient and outpatient care to pets.

The practice prides itself on long-standing relationships with loyal clients and a dedicated team of nurses and patient care assistants, fostering a friendly and collaborative atmosphere focused on exceptional clinical and client care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct nurse consultations in the morning.

• Prepare and set up for daily pre-operative procedures.

• Assist in consultations and surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring.

• Support general practice management duties such as diary scheduling, stock control, and maintaining operational efficiency.

• Provide outstanding inpatient and outpatient care to animals.

Requirements:

• Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).

• Excellent clinical nursing skills.

• Proactive attitude and passion for outstanding patient care.

• Ability to support day-to-day running of the practice.

Benefits:

• Part-time role with 29.25 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) plus Saturday mornings on rota basis.
