Veterinary Surgeon

Description:

Medivet is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team at Medivet Kenilworth. The team is made up of 2 vets, 1 RVN, 3 CCAs, and 1 PCA, offering a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. The practice features three consultation rooms, separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, and is located near excellent transport links, including a nearby train station.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.

• Deliver clear and compassionate client care, keeping clients updated on their pets’ progress.

• Clinical leadership: Mentor and engage the team, fostering skill development and sharing best practices.

• Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans, providing clear cost estimates to clients.

• Ensure compliance with practice and regulatory standards.

• Handle clinical handovers and ensure patient transfer for enhanced care when needed.

• Support and encourage clinical best practices across the practice and within the broader Medivet network.

Key Requirements:

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon.

• Proven experience in delivering exceptional patient and client care.

• Strong team-working and clinical leadership skills.

• Ability to support and influence colleagues to achieve clinic efficiency.

• Experience in supporting nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to implement and contribute to a progressive clinical culture.

Working Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, over 4 days, with 1 in 6 weekends at Leamington Spa 24-Hour.
