Senior Building Surveyor

Carriera Limited, a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Senior / Chartered Building Surveyor to join its expanding Building Surveying team in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop detailed briefs in collaboration with clients and senior colleagues

• Build and maintain effective long-term client relationships

• Support business development initiatives with senior colleagues

• Produce detailed designs, specifications, and tender documentation

• Administer JCT building contracts

• Deliver a broad range of professional surveying services, including:

  • Condition surveys

  • Defect analysis

  • Party wall matters

  • Dilapidations

  • Feasibility assessments

• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle

• Mentor junior colleagues and assist with managing project budgets and finances

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• MRICS Chartered Surveyor (preferred)

• Proven experience in the commercial, retail, or education property sectors

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Competency in AutoCAD or Revit (training provided if needed)

• Familiarity with NBS Chorus

• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required

• Excellent communication skills with strong commercial and professional acumen
