Senior Garment Technologist

Description:

Really Wild, a premium heritage fashion brand, is looking for a Senior Garment Technologist to join their growing product development team. This role requires working closely with the production and design teams to ensure that luxury fashion products meet the highest standards of quality, aesthetics, and market appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and standardize accurate blocks and measurements for Really Wild's customer and brand.

• Manage QC checks, liaising with factories and the management team to implement follow-up actions.

• Investigate returns and suggest improvements to the team.

• Work with the design team to provide technical advice on new styles, fabrics, components, and trims.

• Assist in compiling full tech packs for each style for factories.

• Manage fittings, cast and manage appropriate fit models, and log comments in tech packs for factory issuance.

• Understand fabric technical specifications and wash care requirements.

• Maintain the critical path and communicate regularly with factories.

• Work across all product categories, including softs, tailoring, knitwear, and accessories.

The Candidate:

• Holds a recognized qualification in garment design technology or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in premium womenswear or country clothing.

• Strong knowledge of garment construction, textile properties, and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to solve problems during product development.

• Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and prioritize workloads.

• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of CAD and design software is desirable.

• Willing to travel within the UK and Europe when required.
