Senior Trading Manager

Description:

Gymshark is seeking a Senior Trading Manager to drive commercial success and optimise revenue and profit through data-led trading strategies. This role will play a key part in managing cross-functional trading initiatives across multiple international markets (UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, EMEA, AUS, ROW ex USA), while leading and developing a team of two Trading Managers.

The successful candidate will turn market insights into actionable trading strategies, maintain a proactive trading calendar, and respond to dynamic market conditions to maximise business performance. Collaboration with Marketing, Merchandising, and Commercial Finance teams is essential to align trading initiatives with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse trading performance across key markets, reporting on forecast variances and commercial impact.

• Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to inform trading strategies.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver an aligned, effective trading calendar.

• Lead weekly regional trading meetings, providing insights and actionable plans.

• Build and maintain a 3-month rolling view of risks and opportunities, tracking KPIs to forecast future performance.

• Identify new commercial opportunities based on market trends and competitor analysis.

• Contribute to forecasting processes and provide actionable recommendations.

• Manage and develop two Trading Managers across international regions.

• Foster a culture of innovation, intelligent risk-taking, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder influencing skills.

• Retail eCommerce experience, with a results-oriented mindset.

• Organised, methodical, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to react swiftly to market shifts and make data-driven decisions.
