Site Supervisor

Description:

Ganymede, a prominent player in the engineering and construction sector, is seeking a motivated and skilled Site Supervisor to join their expanding team. This role is a pivotal opportunity for someone passionate about sustainable and environmentally responsible construction. The successful candidate will lead subcontractor teams across multiple project sites nationwide, overseeing the installation of an innovative, green wall system used in both land and water applications.

The organization specializes in the design, manufacture, supply, and installation of a proprietary retaining system that supports environmentally friendly construction, offering vegetated finishes that blend naturally with the landscape. With an increasing number of sustainable projects, Ganymede is scaling its field team to meet demand across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead site operations ensuring all installations are performed in line with design and specifications

• Ensure all health & safety protocols and CDM regulations are followed diligently

• Manage site teams and subcontractors, providing direction, guidance, and quality assurance

• Maintain open communication with clients and internal project teams, reporting changes or updates as needed

• Keep accurate and comprehensive records of all on-site activities

• Serve as the company’s on-site representative, embodying its sustainability values

Requirements:

• Strong construction background with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and client relationship management skills

• Comfortable with technology for project communication and reporting

• Knowledge of GPS/laser levels is preferred (training can be provided)

• Solid understanding of health & safety procedures and CDM regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• SMSTS or SSSTS certification (can be completed on the job if not already held)

• CAT & Genny certification preferred

• Willingness to travel across the UK and stay overnight when necessary
