Staff Product Manager - Platform

In Product is partnered with a fast-scaling healthtech business to hire a Director of Platform Product Management building the clinical, commerce, payments, and pharmacy systems that power everything the company offers.

This is a high-ownership platform role for someone who wants to define the strategy and growth of the platform over the next several years, then roll their sleeves up and build it - treating the platform as a product in its own right, with internal teams as the customer.

This is a role for someone who wants to be both strategist and builder on the hardest, most ambiguous problems in the business, rather than optimising round the edges of something already settled.

The platform underpins everything: clinical, commerce (orders and subscriptions), payments, and pharmacy systems, all under one roof.

The team is currently focused on:

• ➡️ Setting a multi-year platform vision and roadmap across clinical, commerce, payments, and pharmacy
• ➡️ Scaling for rapid, high-volume growth - driving the reliability, performance, and architecture decisions that let the business grow without breaking
• ➡️ Building the platform capabilities needed to launch and operate in new markets
• ➡️ Making it fast and safe to launch new products and business lines on top of the platform

💜As Director of Platform Product you'll be balancing hands-on ownership of the hardest platform problems with growing and leading a team of product managers.

You'll be managing and developing a group of product managers as a genuine player-coach - staying hands-on as an IC on the most critical, ambiguous problems while setting the bar for the wider team.

You'll partner deeply with engineering, holding your own in detailed technical conversations, and connect platform investment directly to commercial outcomes - protecting and growing revenue through payments, subscriptions, and orders.

This is a business scaling fast with real ambition to expand into new categories and markets - the platform is what decides how fast that can happen, not a backend afterthought.

The Experience We're Looking For 👇

✅ Senior/staff-level ownership of platform, infrastructure, or core systems products.

✅ Experience managing and developing product managers, ideally as a player-coach who's stayed hands-on.

✅ Strong technical depth - comfortable with distributed systems, APIs, data models, and infrastructure trade-offs.

✅ Genuine commercial acumen - a track record of tying platform and technical decisions to revenue, cost, and growth outcomes.

✅ Demonstrated success scaling systems and teams through periods of rapid, high-volume growth.

✅ Experience in commerce, subscriptions, payments, or a regulated domain (healthcare, fintech, pharmacy) - internationalisation experience is a strong plus.
