Description:

Atradius is looking for an Underwriter to join their Credit Specialties department within Risk Services. The role involves evaluating transactions on a case-by-case basis to assess risk profiles and ensure alignment with departmental risk appetite. This position also includes managing a portfolio of risks for key customers, which will require developing relationships with the commercial unit and clients/brokers, while managing expectations on both sides.

Key responsibilities include attending industry talks and broker conferences, receiving financial analysis training, and working with confidential information. Travel, including potential overseas trips, is required, so flexibility with working hours is essential. While a background in finance is beneficial, it is not mandatory, though a basic understanding of financial statement analysis will be viewed favorably.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with a significant analytical component (preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields).

• Strong written and communication skills, with the ability to articulate an argument effectively.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.

• A basic understanding of financial statements is advantageous but not required.

Desirable Criteria:

• Interest in geopolitical developments and macroeconomics.

• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying work hours, including travel.
