Description:

The University of Warwick’s Mathematics Institute is seeking two Warwick Zeeman Lecturers to start in September 2026. These are fixed-term, three-year academic positions, offering the opportunity to conduct independent research while gaining experience in lecturing and administration, preparing candidates for future permanent academic roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research in pure or applied mathematics, contributing to the department’s vibrant research environment.

• Deliver teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules.

• Participate in departmental administration and academic activities.

• Engage with seminars, workshops, and conferences organized by the Mathematics Research Centre.

Requirements / About You:

• PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.

• Proven research excellence and ability to teach effectively.

• Ability to contribute strongly to both research and teaching.

• Independent, proactive, and capable of benefiting from the department’s mentorship and career support.

• Eligible candidates may combine this role with fellowships such as the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship.
