Description:

M&G is seeking an Associate Director, Origination & Execution for its Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) team. This team, which was formed in 2021, focuses on maximizing M&G's advantage as both an asset owner and asset manager, specifically delivering bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for UK Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to continued success and strong business opportunities, the team is looking to expand and is hiring for this crucial role.

The Associate Director will be involved in the origination, structuring, and execution of buy-ins, buyouts, and other unique transactions not yet brought to market. CRS has ambitious targets, and the role is key to supporting these efforts and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing, origination, and execution of new bulk annuity and de-risking opportunities.

  • Manage the structuring of transactions and negotiations with trustees, companies, and their advisers.

  • Lead the production of high-quality deliverables for clients and senior internal stakeholders.

  • Coordinate colleagues and external partners to integrate various workstreams (commercial, investment, longevity, pricing, legal, and structuring) into strong client propositions.

  • Engage with Employee Benefit Consultants (EBCs) and respond to queries and surveys in a timely manner.

  • Develop a deep understanding of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Commercially minded with strong technical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and capture client needs.

  • Ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a team.

  • Knowledge of alternative de-risking, capital, and reinsurance structures is beneficial.

  • Qualifications: Qualified Actuary or CFA preferable but not essential.
