Business Compliance Officer

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is currently seeking a Business Compliance Officer to join its Clearing team in London. This is a high-responsibility role ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of financial regulation, compliance monitoring, and governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing compliance risks related to the Clearing business unit, delivering expert guidance on regulatory issues, and promoting a culture of integrity and control across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Compliance in overseeing the UK Clearing Compliance function.

• Maintain and improve the UK Conduct Risk framework.

• Deliver expert technical advice and in-person training on financial regulation and governance matters.

• Review and approve financial promotion content in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Liaise with senior management on critical regulatory topics.

• Support policy development and procedural enhancements to ensure compliance with UK laws and regulatory standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Professional qualifications such as CISI Diploma or equivalent.

• In-depth knowledge of FCA Handbook and key exchange rules.

• Demonstrated experience with compliance monitoring functions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to handle conflict and regulatory complexities with diplomacy and expertise.

• Understanding of both current and emerging regulatory trends in financial services.
