MAP Legal Recruitment is representing one of London’s leading Business Crime and Investigations teams, currently seeking an accomplished Business Crime Lawyer to join their expanding practice. This prestigious opportunity provides the chance to work alongside highly respected leaders within the business crime and fraud domain, handling complex and high-profile cases involving serious fraud, corporate investigations, and regulatory matters.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in managing serious fraud cases, conducting internal and external investigations, and providing expert advice on white-collar crime, financial misconduct, and compliance-related issues. You will work with clients ranging from financial institutions and corporates to high-net-worth individuals, offering comprehensive legal solutions in a demanding but rewarding environment.

This position is best suited for a mid-level or senior associate with a strong background in Business Crime and Investigations, preferably gained at a comparable firm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical ability, strategic thinking, and the capability to manage sensitive and confidential matters effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle complex business crime and serious fraud matters with precision and professionalism.

  • Conduct and oversee corporate investigations, regulatory defense, and compliance reviews.

  • Advise clients on issues involving money laundering, bribery, corruption, and related financial offenses.

  • Work closely with senior partners on litigation strategy, case management, and client representation.

  • Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year PQE in Business Crime or Investigations.

  • Proven experience handling serious fraud or white-collar crime cases.

  • Strong academic and professional background from a reputable firm.

  • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases with attention to detail and confidentiality.

  • Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
