Launch Site Stores Person

Description:

Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is seeking a Launch Site Stores Person to join their UK team at the launch site on the Isle of Unst, Shetland Islands. RFA specializes in creating small satellite launch solutions for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and beyond, aiming to provide low-cost, flexible, and reliable access to space. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring smooth material flow to on-site technicians and engineers, and supporting the overall operations at the launch pad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and support unloading of deliveries from suppliers.

• Inspect goods for damage and verify quantities and descriptions against purchase orders.

• Store goods in designated areas and maintain organized storage containers.

• Coordinate with on-site and remote technicians to manage task-specific materials or parts.

• Monitor site stock levels and raise purchase requests according to minimum order levels.

• Travel to local suppliers, including those in Lerwick, to collect or deliver parts.

• Process paperwork for logistics and invoicing, upload documentation to the Purchase Request Tool, and file hard copies in Purchase Order files.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Physical fitness; ability to lift, move, and carry items.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, management systems, and office hardware.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

• Proactive problem-solving and strong communication skills.

• Forklift operation experience may be required.
