Compliance Analyst

Description:

A global law firm is seeking a Compliance Analyst to join its growing compliance team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and ethical standards.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of KYC, CDD, and compliance processes, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to evaluate client risk. Experience working with offshore clients is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to KYC queries from internal and external stakeholders
• Evaluate existing clients to assess business nature, ownership structure, and risk level
• Obtain and verify beneficial ownership information
• Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) checks and escalate high-risk matters when necessary
• Investigate negative news findings and assess any potential risks
• Address and escalate complex KYC issues requiring further review
• Maintain the firm’s list of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
