Data Analyst

Description:

A leading global asset manager, managing diverse investment strategies including liability driven investment, cashflow-driven investing, longevity hedging, currency management, fixed income, and multi-asset, is seeking a Data Analyst with a background in financial services or trading house environments. The candidate will join the Data Centre of Excellence, which includes experts in Data Analysis, Architecture, Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

The role focuses on managing data acquisition and commercial lifecycle to create value impacting profit and loss decisions within the investment business. The Data Analyst acts as a bridge between business needs and data technical experts, particularly in compliance, risk, regulations, and trade surveillance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing risk data flows and storage within the organization

• Mapping data acquisition from primary and secondary sources and maintaining data systems

• Migrating legacy data warehouse to a strategic data platform

• Identifying, collecting, and migrating data across systems into a central Data Platform with the Data Management team

• Analyzing normalized transactional and analytic data sources

• Working with semi-structured and file-based data extracts

• Data modelling to convert operational data into analytical/reporting structures (e.g., Kimball multi-dimensional models)

The role requires a blend of technical data skills, business insight, and experience with Power BI for creating impactful BI dashboards and reports.
