Detective Constable

Description:

Cambridgeshire Constabulary is actively seeking experienced Detective Constables, trainee Detective Constables, and Police Constables looking to join the T/DC pathway to become part of their investigative team. This role focuses on handling complex and evolving crimes such as human trafficking, child sexual exploitation, and cyber-enabled fraud. Successful candidates will be joining a force that prioritizes local partnerships, community trust, and safeguarding vulnerable groups across Cambridgeshire.

The position operates under a North/South policing model with hubs located in Peterborough, Cambridge, Wisbech, March, Ely, and Huntingdon. Officers will be involved in reducing threat, risk, and harm while ensuring swift resolutions for victims of crime. The role also includes active participation in the Protecting Vulnerable People Command, which involves Child Abuse Investigations (CAISU) and Rape Investigations (RIT), working closely with multi-agency partners.

You will play a vital role in promoting positive community engagement, especially with young people, minority ethnic groups, and hard-to-reach communities.
