Think Tenacity Academy CIC is seeking an experienced finance professional to join its Advisory Board as a Finance Board Member. This pivotal role involves shaping the financial direction and sustainability strategy for the organization’s upcoming mental health online membership club, designed to tackle health inequalities by providing free therapy for Black-owned businesses.

This initiative aims to empower Black and marginalised communities through access to culturally competent mental health support delivered by Black therapists. The Finance Board Member will play a critical role in ensuring the project’s financial scalability, sustainability, and governance as the organization builds a platform for long-term social impact and reinvestment into community well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and oversight of a five-year financial strategy for the organization and its new membership platform.

• Provide expert advice on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring sustainable growth and scalability.

• Support the organization in building a robust governance and compliance framework, including financial risk management and reporting processes.

• Work collaboratively with the Advisory Board and leadership team to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial and operational success.

• Offer strategic insight into funding models, revenue generation, and long-term impact investment.

• Help ensure financial transparency and accountability in all decision-making processes.

• Act as a strategic mentor and collaborator, guiding the team with best practices in financial management, compliance, and business growth.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven expertise in finance, accounting, or business strategy, ideally within startups, social enterprises, or nonprofit organizations.

• Strong understanding of financial governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

• A strategic thinker with experience in developing and implementing financial growth plans.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

• A deep passion for social impact and mental health advocacy, particularly in supporting Black-owned business growth through culturally informed initiatives.
