A leading trading firm located in the financial hub of Liverpool Street, London, is seeking a Senior Finance Business Analyst to join their treasury function. This high-level, analytical role is focused on financial data analysis, particularly in relation to FX, interest rates, liquidity, margining, and collateral reporting. The position plays a critical role in the implementation of a new Treasury Management System (TMS) and requires extensive collaboration between the finance, treasury, and IT teams to build sophisticated reporting capabilities.

This is not a front-office role but rather a data-centric, finance-driven analytical position. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracing and interpreting complex data flows, understanding data lineage across systems, and transforming proof-of-concept solutions into scalable production-level dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, and Python. The role demands deep business analysis skills combined with technical data acumen, allowing the candidate to act as a bridge between technical treasury stakeholders and IT delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the treasury and finance teams to understand data needs for treasury reporting and financial controls.

• Support the implementation and integration of a new Treasury Management System (TMS), ensuring alignment with business processes and data frameworks.

• Trace and map data lineage across multiple financial systems, identifying source systems, dependencies, and reporting structures.

• Build and enhance reporting dashboards using Power BI, with supporting data transformation pipelines using Alteryx and Python.

• Act as a liaison between finance and IT teams, translating technical proof-of-concepts (POCs) into user-ready, scalable solutions.

• Develop documentation for business processes, functional specifications, technical requirements, and backlogs to drive agile delivery.

• Conduct data validation and work closely with QA teams to ensure accuracy and completeness in final outputs.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong analytical and financial acumen, particularly around FX, interest rates, liquidity, margining, and collateral from an accounting/treasury standpoint.

• Extensive experience working in treasury, finance, or tax functions within large, complex financial services or trading environments.

• Demonstrated success in TMS implementation projects, with a deep understanding of system integration and reporting challenges.

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, with solid working knowledge of Alteryx and Python to support technical data transformation and automation.

• Skilled at navigating and documenting complex data environments, identifying golden sources of reference data, and mapping enterprise data systems.

• Strong communication and business analysis skills, capable of aligning multi-disciplinary teams toward common reporting and data goals.

• Comfortable working on-site 3 days a week in a fast-paced financial environment.

Compensation & Work Setup

• Annual Salary: £100000 (approx. £8333/month)

• Location: Liverpool Street, London

• Work Setup: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

• Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
