As part of the Risk Team, you will work collaboratively to maintain and enhance controls monitoring frameworks, ensuring that governance processes remain consistent, clear, and effective across the organization.
Conduct detailed testing of internal controls to assess design and operational effectiveness.
Document test scripts, results, and conclusions in line with regulatory standards and internal methodologies.
Identify and report control deficiencies, collaborating with stakeholders to develop remediation and improvement plans.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to management, both verbally and in writing.
Prepare high-quality testing reports and dashboards for governance committees and senior executives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of testing activities within systems such as MetricStream.
Support thematic reviews and deep dives into emerging risk areas across the organization.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of control monitoring tools, methodologies, and processes.
Proven experience in risk assurance, internal audit, compliance, or internal control oversight within financial services.
Strong understanding of control frameworks such as COSO, SOX, or similar governance models.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and expectations from bodies like the FCA and PRA.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic risk environments.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and control testing platforms (e.g., MetricStream or equivalents).
Professional certifications such as CISA, ACA, ACCA, CRMA, or other risk and compliance credentials.
Experience using Power BI or other data visualization tools.
Knowledge of data analysis techniques and ability to interpret findings from large datasets.
