As part of the Risk Team, you will work collaboratively to maintain and enhance controls monitoring frameworks, ensuring that governance processes remain consistent, clear, and effective across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed testing of internal controls to assess design and operational effectiveness.

• Document test scripts, results, and conclusions in line with regulatory standards and internal methodologies.

• Identify and report control deficiencies, collaborating with stakeholders to develop remediation and improvement plans.

• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to management, both verbally and in writing.

• Prepare high-quality testing reports and dashboards for governance committees and senior executives.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of testing activities within systems such as MetricStream.

• Support thematic reviews and deep dives into emerging risk areas across the organization.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of control monitoring tools, methodologies, and processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in risk assurance, internal audit, compliance, or internal control oversight within financial services.

• Strong understanding of control frameworks such as COSO, SOX, or similar governance models.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and expectations from bodies like the FCA and PRA.

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic risk environments.

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and control testing platforms (e.g., MetricStream or equivalents).

Desirable Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as CISA, ACA, ACCA, CRMA, or other risk and compliance credentials.

• Experience using Power BI or other data visualization tools.

• Knowledge of data analysis techniques and ability to interpret findings from large datasets.
