Description:
A rare opportunity for a Head of Partner Integrations to join a scaling API-first SaaS technology company in a highly strategic senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the CEO. This position sits at the intersection of enterprise integrations, strategic technical partnerships, AI-enabled operational tooling and customer onboarding, acting as the senior technical owner across the company’s integrations ecosystem.
This is not an operations, project management or customer success role. The company is specifically looking for a highly technical, hands-on integrations architect who can independently solve complex API and integration challenges in live customer and partner environments without relying on engineering escalation. You will operate as a senior technical peer to customers, partners and engineering teams alike, helping reduce the technical partner load currently carried by the CTO.
The environment is highly entrepreneurial and fast-moving, so they are particularly interested in candidates from startup, scale-up or early-stage SaaS backgrounds who are comfortable operating with high ownership and autonomy.
Location: Fully remote within the UK, with availability during UK business hours and occasional travel to London and Europe
Salary: £90,000 to £110,000 per annum + EMI options + benefits
Requirements for Head of Partner Integrations:
Strong commercial experience within a senior SaaS integrations, solutions architecture or technical partner-facing role
Experience working within startup, scale-up or early-stage SaaS environments
Experience operating as a senior individual contributor rather than purely as a people manager
Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting capability across APIs and integrations
Ability to independently diagnose and resolve integration issues without escalation to engineering teams
Strong experience working directly from API documentation and technical specifications
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, credential flows, sandbox vs production environments and accreditation processes
Strong understanding of webhook architecture, including retries, idempotency, replay handling and error management
Ability to confidently answer and reason through complex technical integration questions live in customer meetings without relying on internal engineering support
Experience discussing authentication flows, payload structures, integration edge cases and rollout considerations directly with technical stakeholders
Experience operating as a credible technical peer to external engineering and integrations teams
Experience working closely with enterprise customers and strategic software partners simultaneously
Commercial experience within integration-heavy SaaS ecosystems, such as payments, booking platforms, commerce infrastructure, POS systems, hospitality technology or similar environments, would be highly beneficial
Hands-on experience using modern AI-assisted engineering tooling such as Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Perplexity or similar platforms
Experience improving prompts, evaluation sets, retrieval quality, AI guardrails or workflow automation processes
Ability to produce clear, high-quality technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent organisational skills with a strong ownership mentality and follow-through
Calm and credible communication style in senior customer-facing technical meetings
Additional language skills, such as French or Spanish, would be advantageous
Responsibilities for Head of Partner Integrations:
Act as the senior technical point of contact across the company’s strategic partner and enterprise customer ecosystem
Lead technical discovery, onboarding and implementation discussions with software partners and enterprise customers
Solve complex API and integration issues directly with customers and partners
Independently troubleshoot integration edge cases, webhook behaviours, authentication flows and accreditation issues
Own integrations from credential exchange and sandbox setup through to production rollout and accreditation
Coordinate onboarding, webhook activation, rollout planning and integration milestones with partner engineering teams
Operate as the primary technical owner during partner and enterprise customer meetings
Reduce engineering interruption by resolving the vast majority of partner technical queries directly
Improve and maintain internal AI tooling, automation workflows and operational AI processes
Design and maintain AI guardrails, evaluation sets, operational standards and workflow reliability processes
Produce and maintain partner-facing and internal technical documentation, including onboarding guides, troubleshooting materials and integration references
Capture and structure partner and customer feedback into actionable product and engineering insights
Work closely with engineering, operations and leadership teams to improve integration, scalability and operational efficiency
Help shape the long-term self-service onboarding and partner enablement strategy
What the role offers:
Opportunity to join a scaling SaaS technology company in a highly visible strategic role
Direct reporting line to the CEO with significant ownership and autonomy
Fully remote working with occasional international travel
Opportunity to work in a highly entrepreneurial and fast-moving SaaS environment
AI-native engineering and operational culture using modern AI-assisted tooling daily
High-impact position with influence across product, engineering and customer operations
EMI options alongside competitive salary and benefits
