Founders in Black is offering an exciting Investment Banker Assistant Internship for highly motivated individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in investment banking. This unpaid internship provides an opportunity to develop skills in financial analysis, fundraising, deal structuring, and market research.

The internship aligns with UK National Minimum Wage Act 1998 (Sections 44-47) and US Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), ensuring compliance for voluntary work and educational learning experiences. Interns will be reimbursed for expenses, such as travel and client meals.

Key Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will shadow, learn, and assist the investment banking team in:

• Financial Analysis & Valuation: Conducting financial modeling, company valuations, and performance reports.
• Market Research: Analyzing market trends, investment opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
• Deal Execution: Supporting investment memoranda, pitch decks, and due diligence documentation.
• Fundraising Support: Assisting in investor outreach and maintaining investor databases.
• Investor Relations: Managing relationships with venture capital firms, angel investors, and strategic partners.
• Training & Presentations: Preparing client presentations, proposals, and financial reports.
• Transaction Structuring: Gaining exposure to deal structuring, including equity financing and convertible securities.
• Operational Support: Organizing client meetings, investment events, and liaising with investors.
• Research & Insights: Conducting research on investment trends, financial technologies, and regulatory changes.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in investment banking and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
