Hunter Bond, an innovative and award-winning Fintech organization based in London, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Founding Engineer (Java Developer) to join their pioneering development team. This is a rare and exceptional opportunity to be a founding engineer at the early growth stage of a cutting-edge Fintech firm at the forefront of the eTrading space.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, and enhancement of a state-of-the-art low latency, high throughput distributed FX Trading platform. The role will require collaboration with a team of experienced cross-skilled developers and technology specialists, with a strong focus on Extreme Programming, Domain Driven Design, and high code quality standards.

You will be expected to contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance trading systems and will gain exposure to Java, C++, and Rust within an agile, innovative, and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize low latency trading systems using Java.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and technology specialists.

• Engage in agile development practices, Extreme Programming, and Domain Driven Design.

• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.

• Exposure to C++ and/or Rust.

• Experience working with ultra-low latency technology.

• Strong focus on code quality, testing, and best practices.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM subject.

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
