Loss Prevention Officer

Are you a dedicated and proactive professional with a passion for ensuring safety and security in a retail environment?

Next PLC is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to join our Loss Prevention Team, where you will play a crucial role in minimising loss, protecting company assets, and creating a safe and secure environment for both customers and store teams.

As a uniformed presence in our stores, you will act as a strong deterrent, build strong relationships with store teams and local police, and support loss prevention efforts across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe and secure working and shopping environment.
• Act as a strong deterrent on the shop floor to minimise loss and prevent theft.
• Work closely with store teams to ensure loss prevention standards are met.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local police and law enforcement agencies.
• Conduct loss prevention audits and assist in out-of-hours surveillance when needed.
• Provide additional support to other stores as requested by the Regional LP Manager.
• Attend department meetings and contribute to security and safety initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Retail security experience preferred but not essential.
• Flexibility to work across different store locations and shifts.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify high-risk areas.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with store teams, police, and customers.
• Self-motivated, organised, and proactive in responding to security challenges.
• Basic IT skills preferred but not essential.
• Ability to travel daily within a reasonable distance from home.
