A top-tier Lloyd’s syndicate is actively hiring a Pricing Actuary to play a pivotal role in advancing pricing strategy, tools, and methodologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance pricing tools and models tailored to Lloyd’s syndicate business.

  • Provide analytical support to underwriters to aid in risk selection and pricing decisions.

  • Monitor portfolio performance, recommend improvements, and contribute to capital modeling and planning.

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as reserving, risk, and capital, as well as external partners.

  • Support regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with actuarial standards and guidelines.

  • Represent the actuarial function in external forums, enhancing the firm’s profile in the Lloyd’s and London market.

  • Contribute to continuous innovation in pricing and actuarial analytics through research and professional development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in actuarial pricing within a Lloyd’s syndicate, insurance, or reinsurance firm.

  • Strong proficiency in pricing methodologies and development of actuarial models/tools.

  • Familiarity with portfolio monitoring, reserving, and capital planning.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary (e.g., FIA or equivalent) preferred.
