Senior Manager Financial Reporting

A prestigious multinational bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Financial Reporting to join their high-performing finance team at their London headquarters. This senior-level role focuses on IFRS 9 calculation and reporting, playing a critical role within the Global IFRS 9 Calculation and Reporting team, part of the wider Financial Operations function.

The position involves shaping external credit disclosures, interpreting evolving accounting standards, and enhancing impairment reporting processes. It offers substantial exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence credit reporting across a global financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert on credit risk for the Finance community, collaborating closely with Wholesale and Retail Credit Risk teams.

• Design and review analytics to support IFRS 9 impairment results and external credit disclosures.

• Partner with Investor Relations, External Reporting, Risk Strategy, and Regulatory Reporting teams to ensure world-class credit disclosures.

• Support Financial Controllers and the Global CRO in credit review and challenge processes.

• Lead projects for new disclosure implementations and perform peer reviews.

• Ensure compliance with listing requirements, regulatory standards, and maintain a strong control environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).

• Deep technical knowledge of IFRS 9 and financial reporting in a Group context.

• Strong background in large, complex banking or financial institutions.

• Ability to produce concise, high-quality technical papers and communicate complex financial concepts effectively to senior stakeholders.

• Experience with published financial statements (preparation or audit).

• Strong stakeholder management across geographies and business functions.

• Proactive, collaborative, and improvement-driven mindset.
