Description:
The S.S.Daley team are currently looking for a Shipping and Logistics intern for a period of 5 months from May - September 2024. Based on-site at our studio in East London, this placement would be an excellent opportunity for a driven and passionate individual looking for experience working in a fast paced creative environment.
SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with the management of import and export shipments from start to finish for both internal and client goods
- Assisting with the creation and collation of shipping documentation, completing Customs entries, packing lists, commercial invoices
- Assisting with the arrangement of haulage with the external transport teams for both the company and the clients
- Communicating effectively with both the clients and transport teams to manage despatch of inbound and outbound deliveries
- Ensuring materials are adequately received in line with shipping schedules
- Assisting with the handling of client order requests efficiently and setting up details on internal computer system(s)
- Ensuring financial processes are followed and raising client invoices prior to despatch
- Pro-actively promoting and demonstrating excellent customer service at all times

- Previous experience within the logistics sector
- Familiar with types of shipping documentation
- Excellent communication skills

- Analytical and good at problem solving
- Good IT knowledge
