Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 financial institution, is seeking a Market Operations, Control Lead for its London office. This leadership role is responsible for developing and championing strategies that enable business unit decision-making based on data analysis and interpretation. The role focuses on driving efficiency, productivity, and transparency by managing business unit controls and operational resiliency.

Key responsibilities include managing a small team, collaborating with 1LOD, 2LOD, and 3LOD functions to ensure compliance, executing business processes such as RCSA, SOC/SOX testing, risk identification, issues management, root cause analysis, internal audits, regulatory exams, and risk reporting. The role also involves promoting a culture of inclusiveness, accountability, continuous improvement, and process excellence, while gathering and presenting insights to senior leadership and regulators.

The position requires strategic leadership, operational management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. The successful candidate will work closely with business and functional partners to achieve organizational goals, influence decisions, and drive continuous improvement across Market Operations globally.
